During the Battle of Roundway Down in 1643, the Parliamentarian army was defeated. Many of the fleeing cavalry rode their horses over the steep edges of this hill. One of the most distinctive hills in Wiltshire, this shot captures the shape of Oliver's Castle in all its glory, under a deep blue sky.
